November 2025 Newsletter

Hello Community Partners,

Even with the government shutdown creating uncertainty for many, our commitment to the community doesn’t stop. We’re here—still showing up, still serving, and still grateful.

As we head into Thanksgiving, we’re especially thankful for you—our partners, volunteers, and supporters—who keep hope alive for the families we serve. Together, we’ll continue to prove that community doesn’t close, even when everything else feels like it does.

With gratitude,
Cornerstone Connections

Thanks for helping make our Community Closet Fill-a-Bag Fundraiser a Success!

From shopping and donating to spreading the word, your support helped us keep the closet stocked and completely free for families who need a little extra help. Every purchase, every share, every show of love made a difference.

Because of you, our Community Closet remains a space of hope, dignity, and care. We couldn’t do it without our amazing partners — thank you for helping us keep the giving going! 🙌✨

📣Program Highlights📣 Connecting Fathers, Connecting Families

We’re proud to announce that our Connecting Fathers, Connecting Families program is gaining well-deserved recognition—featured in the Caribbean American Passport News Magazine and Florida National News! 🎉

This powerful initiative is transforming lives across Central Florida by empowering fathers and strengthening family bonds. Through parenting education, peer support groups, personalized case management, and family engagement activities, the program equips dads with the tools and confidence to lead, nurture, and grow with their families.

Serving Osceola, Lake, Sumter, Volusia, and Putnam counties, Connecting Fathers is more than a support program—it’s a movement that celebrates fatherhood, uplifts families, and inspires community connection.

We’re excited to continue shining a light on the incredible fathers making a difference every day! 💪🏾👨‍👧‍👦

🚀 Workshop Success: Navigating OCPS Tech!

The Family Connections program recently hosted a fantastic Monthly Family Engagement Workshop Dinner focused on helping parents master the OCPS Parent Portal tools: Skyward and Canvas!

Thank you to Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) for facilitating this vital training. Families learned key skills, like checking official grades in Skyward and tracking assignments in Canvas, empowering them to be active partners in their child's education.

This event is part of the Family Connections program—a transformative parenting program for all Orange County residents that offers Interactive Workshops, Monthly Community Trips, and Resources to foster Growth and Resilience.
